Objective: Guess the hidden word in limited tries.

Modes: Challenge (same word for everyone each day) or Practice (random word).

Length: 4 Letters (8 tries) or 5 Letters (10 tries).

Type a word using the on-screen keyboard, then press Enter.
After each guess, you get two scores:
- ✓ = correct letter in the correct position
- × = letter is in the word but in the wrong position
Each letter is counted only once.
If a guess scores 0 ✓ and 0 ×, its letters are auto-cancelled on the keyboard.

Privacy:

• This game stores only your scores and stats in your browser (local storage).

• No personal data is collected.

• Nothing is transmitted to any server.

• Clearing browser data will reset your stats.

How to play

Version v96

Choose mode: Tap the highlighted Mode button to switch between Challenge and Practice.
Choose length: 4‑letter or 5‑letter.
Make a guess: Tap letters, use Backspace to delete, then Enter.
Use the scores:
- Try to increase ✓ by fixing positions.
- Use × to move letters into new spots.
Long‑press a keyboard letter to cancel it (mark as “don’t use”). Long‑press again to restore.
Hint (only available in Practice Mode): Long‑press the ✓ or × score box for any submitted guess to highlight one matching letter (✓ = correct position, × = wrong position).
Win: Guess the word within the tries. Lose: Tries run out.

Tip: Cancel letters you are confident are not in the word to avoid repeating them.

The name “Shabaash!”

Shabaash (शाबाश) is a Hindi expression meaning “Well done!” or “Bravo!”.

The name also subtly echoes two Hindi words: shabad (शब्द), meaning “word” (as in Shabadkosh, शब्दकोश, “dictionary”), and akshar (अक्षर), meaning “letter.”

In the game, players work with scrambled letters, thinking carefully and strategically to discover the hidden target word. Each correct solution earns its own quiet moment of accomplishment — a well‑deserved “Shabaash!”
